Recycling paint?

Many Americans and especially building professionals are always faced with how do I properly dispose of my paint?

The beauty of San Marco Paints and Plasters is that because of of it’s inorganic contents if you need to dispose of the paint it’s really very simple:

  1. Pour the paint on a large piece of plastic, preferably recycled plastic, but you can use drop cloths too.
  2. Set it outside on a sunny day and let the paint return to it’s natural powder form by dehydration.
  3. The paint then can be disposed of in regular disposal bins or saved and rehydrated at a later date.
  4. Not only do you not have to worry about contamination of the landfill but you are also saving gas/fuel because the local disposal company is not hauling a bucket of wet petroleum based paint like it would with latex.

So if you or your clients are looking for green or sustainable paint options San Marco is a great choice for meeting a variety green points.
